Hello! My name is Emily and I love making and decorating sugar cookies! I’m a part time cookier, wife to an amazing husband and mom to two perfectly adorable boys. I have been making and decorating sugar cookies for 9 years and am thrilled to bring my product, recipes, and lessons learned to my community and beyond. Recipes

Rae's Shortbread

  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/4 lbs. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 cups flour

Cream sugar, butter and salt.
Gradually add flour. My mixmaster takes first four cups only.
Sprinkle last cup of flour on board. Knead the mixture into last cup of flour.
Press into jelly roll pan. Bake 45 mins. to 1 hour in slow oven (about 300deg). Prick with fork all over, before baking.
Bake until it has a nice light brown color. The browner it gets, the crispier the shortboard. Depends on how you like it (I prefer crunchy)
Remove from oven, before cools slice into squares, leave in pan to cool.
